Yes, I wear black cargo shorts to bathe my dog.
I wanted to try and capture Gypsy’s odd walk and oddly energetic jumps up the stairs (she is an old dog but approaches stair-climbing with adorable, awkward, gusto). Unfortunately, she didn’t really hop-run-leap up the stairs or lope to her comical maximum, but here she is anyway. Not sure why the camera didn’t auto-focus. If, for some reason, you want it in HD, the option is there.
Here are two photos of my dachshund. She is supposed to be a stuffed moose head on a wall, but I don’t think that really comes across as: a) the costume was a little small and b) she had it on for approximately 5 seconds.
In case you missed it, I posted 5 photos of my other dog in her costume this afternoon.
[please click. the photos are substantially larger]
This is my dog Gypsy. She’s wearing my old (late) dog Jasmine’s fly-fishing costume, except she is a substantially larger dog [♫big dog in a little coat … big dog in a liiiittttle coaaaat♫]. In the third photo, she is chewing one of the treats I used to lure her to the camera (you can see them in the second photo). She just happened to lift her head and make the goofiest face just as the flash went off. This was serendipitous, yet it also captures her quite well. She is a goofy dog. The hat really didn’t sit well on her head, so she took that off a moment later.
Two thoughts that I don’t feel like putting together into a cohesive something.
Being an older dog, Gypsy has accumulated a fair amount of things, including beds. My dogs had a comical amount of beds already, but now each bed has the equivalent of a box spring or two.
[An anecdote from when she first came to stay]
As he handed over Gypsy’s toys, her former owner stopped mid-sentence, realizing her absolute favorite was a miniature stuffed dachshund.
No worries! My dachshunds actually had an identical toy, long since eviscerated (dachshunds love black humor).
